The Estonian School of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy provides training in CBT, the programme is organized in three stages, every course is a prerequisite to continue training in the next step. Fully trained CBT therapists (entitled to independent practice of CBT) can continue in additional training modules (more coming soon).

TRAINING IN CBT


I Introduction to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (duration 0,5 years)
Course is open to all students interested in CBT, prerequisite is high school education as minimum.

II Advanced course in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (duration 2 years)
The course is designed for psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, also both interns in training may be accepted. Prerequisites are MD in medicine or Master in Psychology and graduation of the course Introduction to CBT. Admission is based on the graduation exam of the Introductory course, an essay and intake interview.

III Supervised practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy  (duration 1,5 years)
Prerequisite is graduation of the Advanced course in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Admission is based on the graduation exam of the course and intake interview with (potential) supervisor.


ADDITIONAL TRAINING MODULES FOR CBT THERAPISTS

Training of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy supervisors (duration 2 years)
Prerequisite is graduation of Supervised practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (fully trained CBT therapist); teaches CBT in EKKA-accredited training programs; is member of EKKA.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Children and Adolescents (duration 0,5 years)
Prerequisite is graduation of the Advanced course in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Admission is based on an intake interview. Preference is given to the CBT therapists working with children and adolescents.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Couples
(duration 0,5 years)
Prerequisite is graduation of the Advanced course in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Admission is based on an intake interview. Preference is given to the CBT therapists working with couples.

TRAINING MODULES FOR OTHER SPECIALISTIS
